Co-Dependency Behaviours
Co-dependency is characterised by a person belonging to a dysfunctional one-sided relationship where one person relies on another for meeting all their emotional and self-esteem needs. It also describes a relationship that enables another person to maintain their irresponsible, addictive and underachieving behaviour and to value other people’s approval of their feelings and behaviours over self-approval.
Co-dependency may also result in people compromising their values and integrity to avoid rejection and other people’s anger.
